I picked up 'Navigating the Internet - Deluxe Edition' this weekend for $30 to
get the Chameleon sampler. This includes telnet, ftp, mail and gopher but no
newsreader. There is also an upgrade coupon for the full Chameleon for $125.
The main problem that I've run into with the sampler is that I can't find
anyway to set a default gateway which means that I can't get past my slip
server here at the U. I can ping the gateway and myself but that's about it.
Does anyone have a clue that they might be willing to share :-)
But the applications work fine with the Trumpet Winsock so its still a pretty
good deal for $30 -- and the book looks like a reasonable reference as well.
